Sep 20, 21, 27 and Oct 3, 4 // Experience the most historic side of the Munich Oktoberfest and the Tent Festzelt Tradition! As only few people know, there is the area of the "Oide Wiesn" (= "old Oktoberfest") for which visitors have to pay an extra entrance fee. This traditional part of the Oktoberfest has a nostalgic theme and looks like traveling back in time.
Enjoy the all-inclusive tour and learn about the most important facts, traditions and history of the Oktoberfest and also Munich.
The meeting point is Karlsplatz (Stachus).
The Karls Gate is located at the city center in Karlsplatz (Stachus). You can get there easily by public transportation. The Stachus is a 5-10 minute walk from the Munich central station (Hauptbahnhof). We will meet up directly by the Karls Gate next to the Mc Donald's and start our tour from there.
The end of the tour is at the Oktoberfest festival ground within the beer tent of our table reservation.
We reccomend to wear comfortable footwear and in case it rains, we suggest to bring a rain proof jacket / an umbrella.
Bring Cash so that you can tip the Oktoberfest waiters, buy additional food & drinks or souvenirs. Card Payments are not accepted inside the Oktoberfest Tents.
Bring your phone or a camera to take memorable pictures and videos :)
No big Backpack or Bags.
Bags should not be bigger than 20 x 15 x 10 centimeters (about 8 x 6 x 4 inch).
Also, it is not allowed to bring any kind of glass onto the festival grounds.
